Yesterday, just before 1 in the morning, PSP Troopers initiated a traffic stop on Orchard Avenue near Pleasant Avenue in Punxsutawney after observing an equipment violation. When officers talked with the 25 year old driver of Rossiter they noticed a strong smell of alcohol. The operator who’s name was not in the report allegedly admitted to the police he had been drinking that evening. After failing a field sobriety test the man was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and the investigation is ongoing.
