There was an accident near mile marker 96 on interstate 80 last evening and two people were life flighted to Hospitals in Pittsburgh…
The crash occurred around 7:30 when a tractor-trailer traveling east on I-80 in Sandy Township of Clearfield County, went off the north side of the roadway and rolled onto its roof in the median.
The operator and his juvenile passenger were trapped inside and had to be mechanically extracted from the rig. I-80 east was shut down for awhile. After extraction the two were flown to Pittsburgh for treatment of injuries.
Names and other information is not in the report as the investigation is ongoing.
