Property taxes will not increase for residence within the Punxsutawney School District…
The deadline to pass the 2019-2020 general funds budget is this Sunday and the Punxsutawney School board held a special voting meeting last evening to achieve that goal, by passing a budget without increasing taxes by a 5-3 count.
I spoke with Dr. Thomas Lesniewski, Superintendent about the budget passing.
I also spoke with board member Cindy Depp-Hutchinson of Wards 2 and 3 about her vote to increase taxes.
Council member Deneen Evansof Bell and Gaskill Townships voted not to increase taxes and explained why.
The Punxsutawney School has their next meeting August 1.
