A White Township woman has been charged with felony theft, access device fraud, and conspiracy for making 152 Amazon transactions using her ex-husband’s account.
Pennsylvania State Police from the Kiski Valley station arrested 48-year-old Theresa Kinney yesterday, accusing her of defrauding her 80-year-old former husband, Robert Kinney of Derry Township, of $17,464, beginning August 17th of last year. Police say Kinney had Amazon packages delivered to her home in White Township, her daughter’s home in North Carolina, and her place of employment at a service station/convenience store in Greensburg. She admitted she made the purchases and told investigators that Amazon had notified her that they were closing the account because of fraudulent activity.
Theresa and Robert Kinney divorced about five years ago. She was arraigned and released, with a preliminary hearing set for June 26th.
