State Senator Joe Pittman has received his first assignment, and it is on the committee that will have a key role in shaping Pennsylvania’s budget.
In a news release, it was announced that Pittman will serve on the Senate Appropriations committee. The appointment was made by Senate President Pro Tempore Joe Scarnati. The Senate Appropriations committee is the committee that’s tasked with reviewing all legislation for its fiscal impact, and that includes the budget, which is due June 30th. In addition, Pittman will serve on one of the committees his predecessor served on: Banking and Insurance.
Pittman said he does have some experience. He will also serve as the vice chairman of the Environmental Resources and Energy Committee and as a member of three other committees
