It’s primary day in Pennsylvania, where the two major parties nominate their choice for who will face off in the general election on Tuesday, November 5.
The Jefferson County Commissioner position will have two choices each for Democrats and Republicans. For the Jefferson County Auditor, Republicans will nominate one of two, while the Democrats have an unchallenged candidate. Write-ins are an option with all ballot choices.
In Indiana County there is a Special Election to fill the remainder of retired State Senator Don White’s term, which expires at the end of next year. The candidates are Republican Joe Pittman, White’s chief of staff, and Democrat Susan Boser, an IUP professor. The candidates were chosen by their respective parties.
Voting in Cherryhill Township Precinct Two has been moved to the Twolick Valley Social Center.
For the Clearfield County Commissioner position, the Democrats have three choices, whereas the Republicans have five to choose from. Supervisors, Council members and school board choices are on the ballet.
