A man from Reynoldsville was the victim of a loan scam.
On May 14 between 2:30 and 5:30 pm, 28 year old Jona Stewart received a text message from an unknown person claiming he was approved for a $10,000 loan through Main Financial in Louisville, Kentucky, providing he make a $300 payment. After sending the money with a Google Play Card, they asked for another $1,100. Stewart asked for the money to be reimbursed to no avail.
State Police are continuing their investigation.
