State Police report two threat investigations involving Indiana County schools.
18-year-old Brennan Buterbaugh of Home has been charged with a single count of terroristic threats for allegedly making threats of violence toward the Marion Center School District. Police say he’s accused of making threats on May 3rd and again on May 12th. District officials were notified and upon police investigation, it was determined that Buterbaugh does not have access to weapons.
Police filed the charge yesterday.
The other school district facing a threat was United. Police say the district received a suspicious telephone call on May 9th at 5:21 PM.
The investigation is ongoing. Interestingly, the threat came the day before State Police conducted an active shooter drill at the school, which did not have classes scheduled that day.
