A summary traffic violation lead to driving under the influence of marijuana.
State Police in DuBois report the incident happened on Sunday morning around 12:30 in Winslow Township, Jefferson County, when a vehicle driven by a 17 year old female of DuBois was stopped for a traffic violation and the officer noticed signs of impairment and the strong odor of burnt and raw marijuana from the vehicle.
After a search, troopers found a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia, and she was arrested for DUI, possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, along with the summary traffic charges, pending the blood results.
Charges will be filed in the District Court against her passenger, too, an 18 year old female from Reynoldsville, for possession and paraphernalia.
