Last Wednesday the Punxsutawney Revitalization Committee had its meeting.
According to the Punxsutawney Spirit, committee chairperson said they received a $12,000 matching grant, and they are putting $6,000 for transformation sketches of two parts of downtown Punxsutawney that need the most help, and the committee was going to raise $250,000 to hire a Main Street Manager.
The Punxsutawney Spirit also reports Mahoning Shadow Trail Rails to Trails Association will have their annual spring clean up day on Saturday April 27, starting at 9 am at the trail head on Water Street, and gloves bags and water will be provided.
