The Indiana Regional Medical Center has filed an unfair labor practices charge against the Indiana Registered Nurses Association with the National Labor Relations Board.
In a news release, the hospital says the charge was filed on Friday in response to what they call the nurses union’s “bad faith bargaining, including engaging in regressive bargaining.”
The same day, the IRNA/PSEA filed a similar lawsuit in response to IRMC’s declaration of an impasse in negotiations and implementation of parts of the “Last, Best and Final” contract offer. A spokesperson for the IRNA/PSEA said that the hospital implemented changes to the nurses’ leave structure on April 7th and that was what triggered the nurses’ union filing their charge.
