
A 45 year old woman from Home in Rayne Township, Indiana County was reportedly the victim of identity theft.
State Police in Indiana say on Friday the victim received a letter from a collections agency demanding payment for a debit that was in her name; however the product was not purchased by her.
After further investigation it was determined that an unknown person used the identity to obtain furniture valued over $2,100. The investigation is ongoing.

The State Police in Punxsutawney filed charges of DUI for in incident that happened late last year.
Authorities say the incident occurred on December 2 around 3 in the morning, when the PSP stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Route 119 in North Mahoning Township in Indiana County and arrested the driver, a 29 year old man from Punxsutawney, for driving under the influence of alcohol.

State Police in Punxsutawney report an accident happened on Saturday night around 10:30.
According to authorities, it was on Route 119 west of Hilldene Lane in Young Township when 36 year old Tara Campbell of Punxsutawney drove off the road and crashed into an embankment.
Campbell was wearing her seat belt and was not injured; however, she was given a citation and her vehicle had to be towed from the scene.

State police are investigating a case of burglary that happened last Friday.
Troopers say that 23-year-old Page Baily Johnson of Indiana forced her way into the home of a 29-year-old Aultman woman by kicking the door in. Once inside, Johnson took a pit bull dog.
Johnson was taken into custody and charges of burglary, criminal trespass, and theft by unlawful taking were filed through district judge Susanne Steffee. She is now in Indiana County Jail unable to post $25,000 bail.
