
There was a structure fire on Summit Ridge Road on Wednesday and several volunteer fire departments were on the scene.
According to ExploreClarion.com, 9-1-1 said the call came in around 4:30 pm reporting the fire. The published report says volunteer fire departments dispatched to the scene included Hawthorn, East Brady, New Bethlehem, Limestone, Rimersburg, and Distant.
According to the Hawthorn Volunteer Fire Department Chief, one barn was fully engulfed when they arrived at the scene. One barn and its contents were destroyed, while the second and third barn took some damage from the blaze.
No injuries were reported and no animals perished in the fire. The source of the fire remains under investigation. The scene was cleared around 7 pm.
