One person was airlifted to the hospital with what firefighters are calling “non-life-threatening” injuries after a two-vehicle crash this morning on Route 286 in the Clymer area.
The crash was reported between Rayne Church Road and Allen Bridge Road as one car veered off the road and rolled onto its side due to the icy conditions. A second car also veered off in the same area, and hit the first car on the roof as it lay on its side. The driver of the first car had to be extricated due to hypothermia and weakness and was flown from the scene to the hospital.
The name of that driver has not been released, pending notification of their family. The other driver was okay and did not require medical attention. Route 286 was closed for two hours while crews investigated and cleaned up the crash.
