
Indiana Borough Police released some information of crimes committed during IUPatty’s weekend.
Police were called out at 11:03 PM on March 23rd to the Sheetz on Wayne Avenue, as an employee caught 19-year-old Tanner Stivason of McGrann who was allegedly trying to leave the store with merchandise that he didn’t pay for. He was charged with retail theft, underage drinking and public drunkenness, and later released to a sober adult.
Police conducted a traffic stop at 11:37 PM on the 23rd at the 200 block of South 7th Street after witnessing a vehicle code violation. A passenger in the vehicle, identified as Surron Adams of McKeesrocks, was found in possession of a small amount marijuana. Adams was released at the scene, but a criminal complaint from Judge Haberl’s office was sent out.
Police would be called back out to the Wayne Avenue Sheetz for a report of criminal trespass that turned into false ID and resisting arrest charges. At 12:55 Sunday morning, officers identified two individuals who were still on the property and ordered them to leave. One suspect, later identified as Damon Rudolph, not only refused to leave, he started to become argumentative towards officers, using profanity, and resisting arrest. He was eventually taken into custody and that’s when Rudolph provided a false name to officers. Rudolph was released from custody, but was charged by summons filed on March 25th.
