
Yesterday, just before 5 pm, the Marienville State Police conducted a traffic stop on Route 36 Shiloh Lane in Barnett Township, Jefferson County and found the driver, a 23 year old man from Brookville, had a small amount of pot.
Authorities seized the weed and the driver will be charged through the district court.

A 35 year old man from the Brookville Borough area was charged with possession of un-stamped cigarettes and attempting to sell them.
The investigation was assisted by the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue out of Pittsburgh, when the man was found to be in possession of a large amount of un-stamped cigarettes while undergoing a State Parole spot check. The Brookville Police were then contacted.
The conclusion of the investigation resulted in a misdemeanor charge of possession and a felony charge of attempting to sell the smokes. Charges are being filed at Magistrate Bazylak’s office.

A Strattanville woman who failed to register with the Pennsylvania State Police as a tier three Offender of Megan’s Law is missing.
Authorities say 42 year old Rachel Larraine Blount received notice via a letter stating she had to appear at the verification site between February 19 and 28th. Blount failed to register and has not been seen since. There is an active warrant for her arrest.

The missing woman from Blairsville has been found. The Pennsylvania State Police in Indiana report 44 year old Jodi K Leary has been located and found to be safe.
Leary was reported missing on March 15 after her family had not seen or heard from her since the 3rd.
