Brookville Council last night gave preliminary approval to move ahead with plans for the borough’s Riverwalk Project.
Council signed a letter of consent that would allow Historic Brookville, Inc. to apply for a state planning grant to fund designs for the project. The Riverwalk would provide a natural walking trail along the borough’s three waterways. It would also connect with the Redbank Valley Trail and the Walter Dick Park.
In a personnel move, Shawn Cieleski was promoted as the borough’s new heavy equipment operator. Cieleski will succeed James Rowan who’s retiring. The borough will now seek to fill a laborer position that will become open on May 1.
