An Indiana County man died yesterday in an accident in Lawrence County.
60-year-old Leonard Clair Long Jr. of Glen Campbell was killed when a large steel pipe fell from a truck at a gas/oil well site on Mt. Jackson Road in North Beaver Township, near the town of Enon Valley. State Police say Long was standing next to a truck at about 11:15 AM, helping to load large sections of pipes and drilling equipment, when the load became unstable and a pipe fell from the truck and struck him.
Despite efforts to resuscitate him, Long was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lawrence County deputy coroner.
