
A verbal argument became physical on March 2 around 10 in the morning on Big Run Prescottville Road in Winslow Township,
PSP in DuBois say a a verbal argument between a 46 year old woman and a 46 year old man, both of Reynoldsville, turned into a one-sided minor physical altercation leading to the arrest of the man.
Names were not released.

There are scant details about a case of criminal trespass.
The State Police in DuBois are currently investigating a report of someone who allegedly broke into a camp on Moore Road in Washington Township, Jefferson County belonging to 67 year old William Danna of Brockway.
Investigators say the incident happened between 2 pm on February 21 and 1:30 in the afternoon on February 26.

A woman from Rossiter, who was wanted by the State Police, is facing more charges after she allegedly gave a false name to police when they found her with drug paraphernalia in Punxsutawney.
ExploreJefferson.com says, based on an investigation, the Punxsutawney Borough police department filed criminal charges, including false Identification to law enforcement, against 33 year old Kayla Stiver, who was transported to a correctional facility.
A preliminary hearing is set for March 26, with Judge Mizerock presiding.

A man from Indiana now faces charges of resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia for an incident that happened on March 2 in Burrell Township.
Troopers say around 4:30 in the morning they had to perform a welfare check on 24-year-old John Lee Barto on Old Willam Penn Highway in Burrell Township. State Police were also warned that Barto had a BB gun and he threatened to use it on any police officers. According to authorities, Barto was walking along the roadway and after ignoring commands to stop and show his hands, he started to flee. After a brief pursuit, Barto was apprehended and taken into custody.
Charges were filed at the District Court, including resisting arrest, drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct.

A juvenile driver survived a car crash over the weekend. A 16 year old male from Rimersburg was driving on Route 68 north of Kifer Road in Monroe Township on Sunday around 4:30 pm when he lost control of his vehicle while going around a curve, continued off the shoulder of the roadway, hit a sign, went through a yard and collided into a porch before coming to a stop.
He had a seat belt on and was not injured, but he was cited for not driving at a safe speed.

A woman from Brookville is accused of not reporting her husband’s income to gain assistance benefits and is facing charges.
According to ExploreJefferson.com, the Pennsylvania Office of State Inspector General filed the the criminal charge of fraud to obtain food stamps and assistance against Jefferson County resident 39-year-old Deborah Sue Greeley.
A preliminary hearing is set for April 9, with Judge Mizerock presiding.

The State Police in Punxsutawney are investigating a case of theft.
Authorities say this incident happened between December 27 and January 1 on Starlite Lane in Bell Township, when someone is suspected of using without authorization, close to $40 of an access card belonging to 52 year old Lisa Roy of Punxsutawney.
The investigation is ongoing.

There was a car accident on Sunday, and the driver was seriously injured.
State Police in DuBois report the single-car crash happened around 5:30 pm on Wayne Road in Winslow Township, Jefferson County when 27 year old Amber Rivera of DuBois was going around a curve too fast for the conditions of the road and lost control of her vehicle. The car traveled off the roadway and hit a tree.
Authorities say Rivera was not wearing her seat belt and was taken to Penn Highlands for treatment of serious injuries. Rivera was cited for not driving at a safe speed.
