The Punxsutawney Borough Council met on Tuesday and praise was given to the Punxsutawney Borough Police Department.
According to today’s Punxsutawney Spirit, Police Chief Matt Conrad read a letter praising two police officers who transported a man to the hospital for life-saving surgery when there was no ambulance service available.
The published report says the Police Chief also requested permission to advertise to hire a part-time police officer and that motion carried unanimously.
