A fatal car accident happened on Saturday in Indiana County.
According to the State Police in Indiana, the accident occurred around 10:30 on Saturday morning on Route 286 east of Indiana near Abbey Road in White Township.
The Indiana County Coroner has released the identity of 55-year-old Christine Pierce of Water Street, Indiana, who was killed when her vehicle crossed the center line, colliding with a pickup truck driven by a 44-year-old Heilwood man, whose identity has not been released. The coroner says the cause of death is unknown, with an autopsy scheduled for yesterday.
The driver of the pickup and his passenger, a 40-year-old woman from Marion Center, suffered minor injuries. None of the three were wearing seat belts.
