
Three vehicles crashed on I-80 yesterday, closing part of the interstate for several hours.
According to the State Police in DuBois, the accident happened around 7:30 yesterday morning on I-80 East between the DuBois and Clearfield Exits, when 55 year old William Eaton from Tiplersville. Mississippi and 30 year old Joshua Overholser from Reynoldsville were slowing down because of a prior accident on the highway. Troopers say 32 year old Farrukh Yahyoev from Brooklyn, New York was approaching from behind and was unable to stop, hitting Eaton’s car, which caused a chain reaction and crashing into Overholser’s tractor trailer.
Nobody was hurt and everyone was wearing their seat belts. Yahyoev was charged with driving too fast for conditions of the road.

Scant details are available about a man who is accused of driving under the influence of drugs from last year.
Punxsutawney State Police have released the name of a suspect who was arrested for DUI last September. Authorities say 36 year old Daniel Wright from Punxsutawney was arrested for driving under the influence on view of drugs on Route 28 on Jefferson Road in Clover Township of Jefferson County.
No other information was released.

Driving too fast on a icy road were the two factors in a one-vehicle crash on Route 2003.
State Police in Kittanning say the incident happened just before noon on Friday when 22 year old Hannah Skamai of Rural Valley was going around a curve and hit an icy spot on the road. Police say she lost control of her vehicle and went off the roadway, over an embankment and hit a tree.
According to authorities she was wearing her seat belt and was charged for not driving at a safe speed.
